A software engineer hacked into The Legend of Zelda to get his girlfriend to marry him. James Dowdell reprogrammed the NES classic so that, after beating the game, it would replace Zelda with a video game version of his girlfriend and then pop the question. He also gave her a ring engraved with the Hyrulian Crest and Master Sword, and she replied, “Of course I will marry you, stupid!“ Source Source 2
