There are fences around London made from WWII medical stretchers.  During the war, Great Britain tore down fences and used the metal for the war effort, then they repurposed the stretchers back into fences after the war ended. You can tell which fences used to be stretchers, because they are black wire mesh and still have the curved handholds.  (, , )
